PRIVACY POLICY

Information We Collect

When you interact with our website or sign up to support our campaign, we may collect personal information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, phone number, and zip code through our contact and sign-up forms. We also collect standard web analytics data, including pages visited, time on site, and referring URLs, through anonymized tracking tools to help us understand how visitors use our site. We do not collect sensitive personal information such as financial data or Social Security numbers.

How We Use Your Information

The information you provide is used solely to support the campaign's organizing efforts. Specifically, we may use your contact information to send campaign communications and updates, notify you of upcoming events and town halls in your area, coordinate volunteer activities and opportunities, and respond to your inquiries or requests. We will only contact you in ways consistent with your preferences, and you may opt out of communications at any time.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with trusted campaign partners and vendors who assist with organizing, event coordination, and outreach, but only to the extent necessary to fulfill those purposes and subject to confidentiality agreements. We may also disclose information if required by law or to comply with applicable campaign finance reporting obligations under Ohio and federal election law.

Cookies, Storage, and Analytics

We do not use cookies for analytics, and we do not run any third-party advertising or behavioral tracking on this site. Our first-party analytics record aggregate information about each page load: the URL visited, approximate location (country, region, city as estimated from your IP address by our hosting provider), device type and screen size, browser language, page-load performance metrics, time on page, scroll depth, and clicks to external links. We do not store your IP address. To recognize repeat page loads from the same browser within a single day, we use a salted, one-way hash (which rotates daily and cannot be reversed back to your IP).

We use your browser's built-in session storage to assign a random ID for the duration of your visit, which lets us group page loads that happen in the same browser tab. This ID is not a cookie, is not shared with anyone, and is automatically deleted when you close the tab.

We also use Cloudflare's bot-protection challenge (Turnstile) on our forms, which may briefly evaluate your browser to confirm you are not an automated bot. This does not collect personal information about you.

Analytics data is stored in our own infrastructure on Cloudflare and is not sold or shared with third parties. You can disable JavaScript in your browser to opt out of all client-side analytics; essential site features will continue to work.

Your Rights

You have the right to opt out of campaign communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly. You may also request access to the personal information we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, or request deletion of your information from our records. We will respond to such requests within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
